Just a quick post to mention a project called TopShelf.

I’ve made a few Windows Services in my life time for different clients, and the experience was never cool.

Enter TopShelf, which gives you a fluent experience to configure a Windows Service. The really cool part though is that it gives you the necessary code to do “program.exe run” which will run the “service” in console mode. I’ve had to develop similar code for each an every project that was a Windows Service so I can test them so just is a great improvement.
