I was reading up one Mars One (the colonization of planet Mars) and found an excellent page describing the five key characteristcs of an astronaut.
For some reason, I found something I wasn’t prepared for – I was expecting a list of hard skills (i.e. knowledge of this, knowledge of that).
What I found was a list of soft skills, the kinds we often forget when working with people, the things I try to bring out in people when I perform coaching mandates. Now although I do not work with astronauts (well, except for when I am playing with my kids), I believe this list should be shared by everyone as it represents humans at their best and traits I can adhere to.
